Michael McDonough Architect was pleased to participate in the Civic Alliance Planning and Design Workshop for Lower Manhattan, a 4-day workshop convened by the Regional Plan Association, and held from 13 December 2002 to 17 December 2002 at the South Street Seaport in New York City.

The goal was to contemplate the future of New York City’s entire downtown district—not just the 16-acre World Trade Center site—in the wake of the attacks of 11th September 2001.

Michael McDonough Architect—along with other firms affiliated with the U.S. Green Building Council—provided information relating to high performance buildings and other “green building” strategies as they relate to public policy, urban planning, and architecture.
